Read First
The in-app Set Up Guide has been updated to accomodate for major Home Screen changes in iOS 26 - with Liquid Glass effects being applied.
Please review it after updating to iOS 26.
Follow these steps to help restore the seamless dark style;
- Save and apply the updated Minimal Dark wallpaper
- Set Reduce Transparency to ON in Accessibility settings → Per-App Settings → Home Screen & App Library
- This will remove the glass effect from the dock
- Also, set Reduce Motion to ON in the above screen
- This will stop the Widget & Dock Liquid Glass borders from flickering

How can I turn off Liquid Glass borders on my Home Screen?
iOS 26 unfortunately introduces Liquid Glass borders that surround all Home Screen elements - including Widgets, App Icons, and the Dock - without the offering a way to turn them off.
Thankfully it is possible to reduce their prominence. Here are some tips on how to do this;
- Turn on Reduce Motion in Accessibility settings to eliminate the border flickering when tiling the device. (see Set Up Guide → Step 4)
- Link your favorite wallpapers with Dumb Phone using the Custom Backgrounds feature. (via the Launcher Style screen)
Why does the Minimal Dark wallpaper color look different?
There is a new Minimal Dark wallpaper available for iOS 26.
Please save it via the Launcher Style (or Settings) screen → Wallpapers screen, and create a new Home Screen wallpaper by selecting it
When applied, the Home Screen elements should match up as above.
I don’t like iOS 26. Can I downgrade back to iOS 18?
Yes it is possible to downgrade back to iOS 18, for a limited time while Apple allows it.
There are plenty step-by-step guides on the web on how to do this, but here’s a simple run down;
- Download the iOS 18 IPSW recovery file for your iPhone model
- Plug in your iPhone to your Mac or PC, and open Finder or iTunes
- Put your iPhone in Recovery Mode
- Restore the recovery file via Finder or iTunes
⚠️ Make sure you perform a backup of your device first! ⚠️
How can I avoid accidentally updating to iOS 26?
- In iOS Settings → General → Software Update → tap Automatic Updates
- Set both “iOS Updates” switches to OFF
